Jeanette, in particular, is desperate for success as her boyfriend, the reporter Stephan, is on the verge of losing his job. When Jeanette and Mimi get to drive a noble car during the shooting of a film, Jeanette gives it a go and the two girls elope together. They finally arrive at a mundane winter sport resort where Jeanette registers a room for them under the name of "Countess of Monte Christo". They get along fine until the impostors Rumowski and "The Baron" put up at the same hotel. Soon, the two impostors see through Jeanette′s and Mimi′s lie and consider them as rivals. But the trouble really starts when the police disclose Rumowski′s and "The Baron′s" plans. Now, Jeanette and Mimi also have to flee the hotel. Back in Vienna, they think to be safe again...
